Driving Instructor Training - ADI Course Part 1
How To Qualify To Become A DSA Approved Driving Instructor
To become a DSA approved driving instructor you must pass all three parts of the qualifying examinations in consecutive order within two years of passing the ADI Part 1 theory test.
ADI Part One
This part of the qualifying process is theory and done as home study.
You do not need to pay for ADI Part One training as this can easily be done on your own. The first step is to call 0870 850 2455 and apply for the forms for your CRB police checks. Then contact the DSA online and request a starter pack and associated questions and answers. The cost of the starter pack is currently £11.
Visit The Transport Office for more information on how to become a driving instructor.
The CRB check will take approximately 6-8 weeks to come back.
You will also need to purchase the following books and DVD/CD-ROM which are essential training aids:
- The Highway Code
- The Official Driving Test
- Know Your Traffic Signs
- Driving-The Essential Skills
- Driving Test Success CD-ROM
We recommend that you use these training aids in conjunction with the DSA associated questions and answers.
